Broken shards
Scattered over the floor
Remnants of a life
He tossed away.
I reach for one
Two, seven pieces
Trying to reassemble them
But the fragments are
So small
And fragile
They crumble to dust in my hands.

We want to grab something so bad
pieces keep shattering in our hands
we want to make something to work
and reach success in all our plans.
Not everything is meant to be for us
usually, we learn this the hard way
if something has come to the end
could be to make the room for better
who knows when, it could be today.
You are wise, LeeSoyer. You see the truth of life. I appreciate your kind comments. They make this breakup easier. Thank you.
